According to data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 80% of U.S. children and adults ages 6 and older have detectable levels of glyphosate in their urine. Those of you who receive the newsletter from Dr. Subscribe to Mercola, have already seen his detailed information on this topic and what we can personally do about this travesty. If you don’t have a subscription, I recommend you do so, as Mercola has been an excellent, science-based source of health information for over two decades – which is why it was so heavily attacked/censored during the vaccine debacle!
Stephanie Seneff, a senior research scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), has been researching glyphosate for years and has been instrumental in helping people understand how and why glyphosate is so dangerous:
“I believe that in certain proteins, in certain places, glyphosate can accidentally get into the protein instead of the amino acid glycine. And to understand that glyphosate is a complete glycine molecule. It fits glycine perfectly. Except that it has additional materials attached to its nitrogen atom.”
Glycine is a very common amino acid that your body uses to make proteins, and glyphosate disrupts proteins that rely on glycine.
There is numerous research linking the increase in glyphosate consumption (Monsanto’s Roundup) to an increase in the incidence of diseases such as breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, kidney cancer, thyroid cancer, liver cancer, bladder cancer and myeloid leukemia.
This study also shows how glyphosate alters the gut microbiota and reduces beneficial bacteria:
“…using shotgun metagenome sequencing of fecal samples from C57BL/6 J mice, we show that glyphosate exposure at doses approaching the US ADI significantly influences the composition of the gut microbiota. These gut microbial changes were associated with effects on gut homeostasis, which were represented by increased pro-inflammatory CD4+IL17A+ T cells and lipocalin-2, a well-known marker of gut inflammation, were marked.”
How to remove glyphosate from your body
Glyphosate is found almost everywhere in North America, but there are some things you can do to reduce exposure and also minimize damage:
- Only consume certified (or home-grown) vegetables and fruits. Or buy from farmers you know.
- Fermented foods, especially kimchee, chelate chemicals like glyphosate. Activated charcoal after a meal also helps bind the chemical so you can eliminate it.
- Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt, a specialist in metal toxicity and its connection to chronic infections, recommends taking 1 teaspoon (4 grams) of glycine powder twice daily for a few weeks and then lowering the dose to 1/4 teaspoon (1 gram) twice daily. This allows glyphosate to be excreted in the urine.
- Supplement with organic, grass-fed collagen, naturally rich in glycine. Or boost your collagen intake by making homemade bone broth using bones and connective tissue from grass-fed, organically raised animals.
- Take your Natren probiotics daily to protect your gut microbiota. If you can tolerate dairy, use the yogurt starter to create an excellent food source of probiotics.
A few days ago I stood helplessly watching my neighbor spray his side of our property line with Grazon. Another super toxic herbicide that eliminates the burdock and thistle on his side of the fence while polluting groundwater. He won’t be able to use the manure from his cows or horses as compost. And its cows cannot be sold for slaughter within a certain period of time. That’s how toxic this chemical is!
But ONE MAN can decide to put this poison into our air and water and all plants and animals will suffer – none of us have a choice or a voice in the matter. This is the real problem with the use of chemicals. Whether it’s your neighbor spraying his lawn or a farmer spraying a field. We are all connected!! Our governments are supposed to protect us from such poisons, but… well, we all know where that ends.
So those of us who are educated and care, let’s continue to be the change we want to see. My neighbor is mad at me for not spraying my side of the fence. Well, yes.
