If your hair has become thinner or looks dull or dull, there are a few things you can do to combat it. First, have your hormones checked by a doctor who specializes in hormones. If you can’t afford it, try Thyroplex or a natural progesterone cream and see if that helps – you’ll know in a few weeks. Or you can try supplements to make your hair healthy.
While a great shampoo and conditioner can make a big difference to the appearance of your hair, you can make an even bigger difference by giving your body the nutrients it needs to produce thick, shiny hair.
Dietary supplement for healthy, shiny and thick hair
In my experience (and this includes working with chronically ill people and with postpartum women whose hair is almost always thinning), taking these nutrients DAILY will make a noticeable difference to both your hair and your skin within 3-4 weeks:
- Take silica, vitamin E, vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 daily
- Cod liver oil – 4 capsules or 1 tsp per day
- Udos oil – 1-2 tbsp. per day (take it directly or use it to make a salad dressing, drizzle it over cooled vegetables – do not let heat denature them – or add it to your shakes and smoothies)
- Lots of organic butter (preferably raw) – try to have 1/4 cup per day
- Cook only in organic extra virgin olive oil or unrefined coconut oil
If this scares you, you need to know that 40% of the cell membrane is made up of fat! But it’s made up of good fats (like the ones listed above), so you’ll also see significant improvement in your skin and gut lining when you consume adequate amounts of these good fats.
Eating these healthy fats won’t make you gain weight, but you may need to reduce the amount of food on your plate because good fats contain more calories than the same amount of carbohydrates or vegetables – to keep your daily calorie intake the same.
However, many overweight people find these good fats helpful in losing weight because their bodies are finally full, their cravings decrease and they feel satisfied with less food.
Even if you implement just two points from the list above, you’ll likely notice an improvement in your hair after a month or two.
