Although we have sold the Mini-Minerals line for many years and I have used it myself with good results, I have also wondered why other products – like the Angstrom line and the Dr. Carolyn Dean line – tasted so much stronger. These other nano/angstrom/picometer/atomic sized minerals had real taste, whereas the Mini Minerals line (Bone Support) tasted like water.
Then I went through a period where I developed severe leg cramps due to the hard work on the ranch. As I took the mini-mineral magnesium to relax the cramped muscles, I began to wonder why I had to take such a large dose to get the cramps to subside.
I began to suspect that the bottle may not have contained the dosage listed. So I picked up a bottle of Mini-Minerals Magnesium and had it independently tested, and my suspicions turned out to be correct – the product tested six times worse than what the label said. At the same time, I submitted a bottle from the Angstrom line and it worked perfectly (we still carry the Angstrom Minerals line).
It is very expensive to have this test done – and the fee is per mineral. Therefore, I didn’t want to have the entire Mini-Minerals line tested, especially when my own body had already told me the truth.
Is this test meaningful? Does the entire line not meet label claims? Maybe it was just this batch or this bottle? What changed in the company after the death of founder Jim Haszinger? I am not interested in making any claims against WHM or Mini-Minerals. I have always listened primarily to my gut feeling and the wisdom of my body. And that’s why we discontinued the Mini Minerals line in the Shoppe…until some readers complained.
Bone matrix formulation
Luckily, I was already in the process of formulating the QuikPlus line of angstrom/atomic sized minerals with Imix (using my ideal formulas and concentration), so I can ensure the contents of the bottle are correct every single production run!
I also believe that my Bone Matrix formula is the best there is – because I have not only extensively studied which minerals are required for bone and tooth formation, but also the ratio of these minerals to one another.
What’s unique about my research is that I only relied on published clinical trials and studies and then compared those results to the data Dr. Weston A. Price collected when he analyzed the dietary composition of super healthy strains (less than 1% tooth decay and no degenerative diseases).
At one point we had great difficulty finding a supplier who could supply me with zinc in the concentration I needed for Bone Matrix. So I threw it to the Universe/Divine and said, “Is this ratio really crucial? Please give me a sign.” The next morning there was an email in my inbox from my brother, an MD geneticist, with an article saying that autism begins in utero because the copper-zinc ratio is wrong. Now that’s what I call an answer! So I kept looking until we found the right provider.
I’m almost finished formulating the QuikPlus line – just finished testing samples for Muscle Matrix (my cramp relief formula) and Trace Matrix (all the trace minerals now missing from our soil), so those are coming soon. Our employees are already achieving great results with QuikPlus Silica – which is reflected in stronger, longer nails within a few months of use. I use it to keep my joints from hurting after all the physical labor of building fences and other work on the ranch.
Speaking of sore joints, I recently received similar feedback from a reader:

Different taste and different viscosity?
You may find that Bone Matrix has a much stronger flavor than Bone Support. And it also has a different appearance and viscosity. This has two reasons. First, QuikPlus Bone Matrix actually contains the amounts of minerals listed on the label, so the flavor is stronger. Yes, I know Bone Support (Mini-Minerals) claims to have more minerals on the label, but… check out my lab test experiment above (i.e. 6x lower than what the label says)!
Bone Matrix is slightly cloudy and starts to agglomerate a bit over time – this is due to the high proportion of silica that I included in the formula. Silica is so good for bones, teeth, hair, joints, etc. that I didn’t want you to have to supplement it separately to get a good dose. Look again at the passage and quote above about silica.
