I am SO EXCITED about this new formula for Imix Nutrition! These are my ideal stool bulking and softening formulas to help regulate bowel movements. There is a version โ€“ FIRM โ€“ for people prone to diarrhea. And a second variant โ€“ MOVE โ€“ for anyone who is prone to constipation.

    ColonEaze for diarrhea or constipation

Some of you may remember a product we launched about a decade ago called MetaCleanse? This product disappeared when their facility burned down. Well, ColonEaze is my version of this product, all natural, mostly organic, no fillers/flowing agents, etc. My ideal blend of “binders” or fillers and softeners as well as targeted herbs.

However, I think my version is actually better because I removed the bentonite clay (which should only be used short-term as it removes ALL good and bad bacteria) and added the soothing, gentle herbs. Let me know what you think when you leave a product review!

    COLONEAZE~MOVE FOR CONSTITUTION

ColonEaze Move for constipationColonEaze Move for constipationColonEaze~Move is a stool softener that relieves constipation and improves intestinal muscle tone and peristalsis. Specially formulated to be gentle yet effective for people with sensitive gut. ColonEaze~Move is a safe and natural soluble fiber therapy to gently promote healthy elimination without chemical stimulants or laxatives. If you’ve read my book Listen To Your Colon, you know why soluble fiber is preferable to insoluble fiber. It helps maintain regularity, along with gentle but effective herbs that promote detoxification and cleansing. Available as a loose powder that you can add to water or diluted fruit juice. Best taken on an empty stomach.

Take it at the same time of day to promote regular bowel movements. If you want to have a bowel movement in the morning, take ColonEaze~Move before bed (on an empty stomach). Start slowly and slowly (1 teaspoon once daily) and gradually increase the amount until your body reaches the amount it needs.

If you find that you need help stimulating bowel movements, you can use ColonEaze~Move to take 250-500 mg of magnesium citrate, up to a maximum of 1000 mg per day.

If you want to increase the effects, you can do this by either increasing the amount taken or increasing the frequency of dosing.

So that means you should increase to 1.5 teaspoons or 1 tablespoon every morning and see how your body reacts. Or you can take 1 teaspoon in the morning and 1 teaspoon in the afternoon. People have used up to 2 tablespoons per dosage. You may want to increase the dose slowly and find the dosage/frequency that works best for your individual body.

There are no known contraindications to long-term use of ColonEaze, but as your gut health and diet improve, you may not need to take it every day or may want to reduce the dosage, etc.

However, keep in mind that ColonEaze~Move is designed to address the underlying issues related to constipation (along with taking probiotics). Therefore, over time you should be able to reduce the amount of magnesium you use to normal supplement levels. 125-250 mg of magnesium citrate per day is considered normal magnesium supplementation.

    What’s different about ColonEaze~Move?

Most stool softeners or fiber therapies for constipation contain a lot of insoluble fiber. However, this can be irritating to sensitive intestines, which is why ColonEaze~Move uses gentle, yet effective, soluble fiber.

The majority of the soluble fiber in ColonEaze~Move comes from organic psyllium seed powder; with a smaller amount of organic psyllium husk. Why? Because many people with sensitive guts may experience irritation if they eat a lot of psyllium husk, but psyllium seeds are fine for them (and help). These are very different parts of the plant that have different effects on the intestines – so it is important to find the right ratio.

Psyllium replenishes stool (draws/holds water if your stool is too hard), exercises the colon, balances peristaltic rhythm, helps produce butyrate (anti-inflammatory for the gut), while also serving as food for probiotics. All of this helps maintain the integrity of the colon lining. Because of psyllium’s ability to bulk up stool, it is also a valuable detoxifying agent, helping to eliminate toxins, dying substances, or dead pathogens.

Additionally, I added a blend of gentle but potent herbs (Indian sarsparilla root, artichoke leaf extract, dandelion root, haritaki) to stimulate detoxification and support the liver and kidneys (which are stressed during constipation). Many herbs that help with constipation are simply too harsh for people with IBD and irritable bowel syndrome and can trigger an attack. That’s why I chose herbs that may work a little slower, but are better for a sensitive intestine.

If you have fewer than 1 bowel movement per day, use ColonEaze~Move

    OR

If you have 1-3 bowel movements per day but your stool is too hard in consistency, use ColonEaze~Move

    COLONEAZE~Firm against diarrhea

Coloneaze Firm for diarrheaColoneaze Firm for diarrheaColonEaze~Firm is a stool bulking agent that relieves diarrhea by absorbing excess fluid, helping to clump/connect all those separate stool deposits, improving intestinal muscle tone and helping to regulate/balance peristalsis. Available as a loose powder that you can add to water or diluted, non-acidic fruit juice (such as pear, apple, mango). Best taken on an empty stomach. Start slowly and slowly (1 teaspoon once per day) and gradually increase the amount and dosing frequency (1-3x/day) your body needs.

The organic acacia gum in ColonEaze~Firm not only helps absorb water and firm your stool, it also has a healing effect on the intestines. For centuries, the thick, amber-colored resin of African acacia trees in Senegal has been collected and ground into powders and pastes for traditional medicine.

Acacia has historically been used to treat bedsores and wounds, inflammation of the intestinal lining and, when applied topically, to treat inflamed skin surfaces, burns and nodular leprosy. The plant’s gum is also used as an astringent, cough and cold remedy, and to treat diarrhea and dysentery, sore throats, and urinary tract infections.

This study shows that acacia is an effective radical scavenger and chain-breaking antioxidant. Another study here added acacia and bifidobacteria to yogurt and found a significant improvement in bowel movements and reduction in symptoms in patients with IBS.

The blueberry extract in ColonEaze~Firm has been used since the Middle Ages to treat diarrhea, oral inflammation, urinary tract problems and diabetes. Due to its high vitamin C content, it is also traditionally used to prevent scurvy.

ColonEaze~Firm also contains sprouted organic chia seed powder and organic psyllium seed powder. It does not contain psyllium husk. Why? Because many people with sensitive guts may experience irritation if they eat a lot of psyllium husk, but psyllium seeds are fine for them (and help). These are very different parts of the plant that have different effects on the intestines – so it’s important to find the right ratio, and if you have diarrhea it may be best to avoid psyllium husks altogether.

Psyllium and chia seeds are gentle, soluble fibers that provide stool bulking (attracting/retaining water and stool), balancing peristaltic rhythms, and helping produce butyrate (anti-inflammatory for the gut) while also serving as food for probiotics. All of this contributes to the healing/maintenance of the integrity of the colon lining.

Due to the stool-swelling effects of psyllium and chia, it is also a gentle detoxifier and helps eliminate toxins, dying substances or dead pathogens – which is what your body is already trying to get rid of when you have diarrhea!

Can I take more than the recommended dosage?

If you want to increase the effects, you can do this by either increasing the amount taken or increasing the frequency of dosing.

So that means you should increase to 1.5 teaspoons or 1 tablespoon every morning and see how your body reacts. Or you can take 1 teaspoon in the morning and 1 teaspoon in the afternoon. There are no known contraindications to long-term use of ColonEaze, but as your gut health and diet improve, you may not need to take it every day or may want to reduce the dosage, etc.

*NOTE: ColonEaze is a dietary supplement consisting of a herbal blend and the % DV is based on children ages 4 and up. We are not aware of any health risks, but you can always contact your doctor if you have any concerns.

Can I use ColonEaze on an Elemental diet?

ColonEaze contains polysaccharides and therefore should not be used during an elemental diet. Only monosaccharides are allowed on an elemental diet.

NOTE: 1.84% of women over 60 have heart palpitations caused by psyllium. Either due to an allergic reaction or because psyllium slows the digestion/absorption of carbohydrates, resulting in low blood sugar and increased heart rate.
