We recently received an email from one of my readers who had a colonoscopy and his gastrointestinal tract informed him that he had a twisted colon, which may be contributing to his chronic constipation. So I want to share with you this story that I shared with him and is part of the new content I added to the THIRD edition of LTYG!
Craniosacral therapy or surgery?
I once had a telephone consultation with a woman who had given birth four months ago. And since then I’ve had heartburn so bad that even the prescription medication didn’t work.
Then an ultrasound revealed an unknown mass the size of a baseball in her abdomen, so doctors now wanted to perform a comprehensive series of gastrointestinal tests – and possibly surgery.
Understandably, she was very worried, and coupled with the stress and lack of sleep of a newborn, you can well imagine this poor woman’s condition.
The choice is yours
After a detailed conversation with her, I explained my opinion to her.
I summarized: “Understandably, you are very scared right now and are under a lot of pressure from doctors to move forward with exploratory testing/surgery as quickly as possible. However, you have a choice. You can try the non-invasive healing methods first and see if that works. If not, the exploratory testing and surgery are always there for you. If you take two weeks to explore gentler, gentler healing methods, will that make a big difference to your prognosis?”
I told her what things craniosacral therapy can help with. And especially since she had just had a pregnancy and birth (which can really affect the internal organs and gut), I suggested she start with that first. Luckily she was in a town near mine. So I was able to refer her to a top craniosacral therapist named Henry Epp (in Vancouver, Canada).

I also suggested that she see a naturopath at the same time to cover all options.
A natural way to heal
After just two sessions with Henry, she stopped taking her heartburn medication and no longer had heartburn at all. In fact, she felt such a change in her body that she had her doctor do another ultrasound. The baseball-sized mass was completely gone and no further tests or surgery were required.
Needless to say, she was overjoyed. Now imagine the incredible amount of illness and trauma she saved herself by first taking a natural path to healing.
The possibilities for curing irritable bowel syndrome and IBD-related illnesses through craniosacral therapy are immense. I recommend that anyone reading this book find a good practitioner and have at least one or two sessions to see for themselves the relief that craniosacral therapy can provide.
