What should you pack in a medicine bag?
My 16 year old son Hugo is traveling to the UK to play football for a few months, maybe longer.
So what did I pack in his medicine bag to keep him healthy, energized, and ready for anything?
This natural first aid kit includes daily immune support, injury care, and emergency supplies for everything from sore muscles to stings, scrapes, or gut bacteria—and yes, even nail clippers and gauze.
Natural first aid kit for travelers (especially athletes!)
Here is the list, and in the video I give you the dosages and why/how to use each product:
Daily immune and nutritional support
- Vitamin C – 1000 mg
- Vitamin D3 – 5,000 IU
- Cod liver oil – 2 per day for omega-3 fatty acids and fat-soluble vitamins
- Wild oregano oil – taken internally for intestinal bacteria, infections or sore throats; can be diluted with olive oil if necessary
- QuikPlus Magnesium – to prevent muscle cramps and support athletic recovery
- QuikPlus Bone Matrix – Supports bone and tooth health
Topical and homeopathic medicines
- Arnica cream – for bumps, bruises, sore muscles
- Homeopathic Arnica Pellets – for trauma or injuries
- Homeopathic Apis Mellifica pellets – against bee/wasp stings or swelling (the gut feeling should pack this in!)
- Comfrey ointment
- Super lysine lip ointment – because he gets cold sores when he leaks
Eye and allergy support
- Similasan allergy eye drops – against irritation, pollen or dust; can also rinse out dirt
First aid and wound care
- Compact first aid kit with:
- Plaster (2 types)
- Sterile gauze compresses (various sizes)

- Everything is stored in a separate zip pocket for easy access in his football kit
