Modern agriculture has destroyed both our soil quality and microbial life – there should be more living microbes in a handful of soil than all human/animal species on the planet! Let that sink in. These living networks or communities of useful life are being destroyed by tillage/plowing, chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides. The ancient soil from which Trace Matrix is extracted is rich in bacterial metabolites (not bacteria), which are byproducts of bacterial digestion. These metabolites combine with trace elements (and amino acids) to form fulvates and fulvic acid.
Fulvic acids are produced in extremely small quantities by millions of microbes that work to decompose plant material. The most effective and active fulvic acids are found in the soil of decomposed prehistoric plants. These fulvic ion minerals are atom-sized and are immediately absorbed into cell channels.
What is the difference between fulvine and humus?
Humic acids contain more hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen and sulfur and less oxygen than fulvic acids. Humic acids also have a much larger particle size (10x) and are only soluble in alkaline solutions.
Fulvic acid is so powerful that a single molecule can transport more than 60 times its own weight in minerals and other nutrients into cells. Fulvic acid therefore ensures better absorption of nutrients. It maintains cell integrity and supports the cellular detoxification process. Remember that before all chemicals were used in agriculture, the rich humus soil was full of millions of beneficial microbes that produced fulvic acids. The vegetation was lush and lush, as evidenced by the ancient remains that geologists call humus deposits.
