    What is Helicobacter pylori?

Helicobactor pylori (or H. pylori) is a bacteria commonly found in the stomach because it can invade your body and live in your digestive tract for years. This can lead to painful sores or ulcers in the lining of the stomach and intestines.

Over a long period of time, stomach cancer can develop in some people.

    H. Pylori reader question

We recently received an email from a reader asking if we have a protocol for Helicobacter Pylori – and since then a few others have written to us too:

    “Hello Jini,

Are you being treated for Helicobacter Pylori? I was diagnosed 4 years ago when I was pregnant with my now 4-year-old son. Because of the triple antibiotics prescribed by the doctors, I waited until after birth to treat my son. One of the main antibiotics is Flagyl, which I am allergic to, so I did triple therapy with a replacement antibiotic instead of Flagyl.

I did a urea breath test again last week and found that it didn’t clear the HP. Now I want to try something other than triple antibiotic therapy because I have been feeling unwell, tired, exhausted and generally not myself since the treatment. I believe my constant bloating and the excruciating pain that comes with it was caused by triple therapy.

Sometimes it feels like there’s something alien living in my stomach (a matter of language, of course) – almost like it’s moving around in there and causing me nothing but hell and pain. It’s hard to explain…when I lay down and the pain and bloating occurs, it’s like I’m stuck in one position. If I don’t get up and start walking up and down the hall trying to relieve the pain, I’m in for a very unpleasant night/day – or at least a few hours.

In September last year I was diagnosed with a bout of diverticulitis due to chronic constipation and was given antibiotics to cure the disease. I haven’t had a flare-up since then, but I still suffer from constipation at least once or twice a week. I’m taking Coloxyl and Senna for quick relief because I’m worried it could cause my diverticulosis to flare up again.

The doctor sent me to a colon surgeon/specialist in November who said he wanted to do a colonoscopy to see what was going on in there. I declined and said I needed time to research first.

If possible, can you please help me with any of the above issues? I believe that H. Pylori is my first problem that needs to be addressed. – CH”

What’s interesting – and oh-so-common – about CH’s report is that you can trace the downstream effect of overuse of antibiotics (and perhaps antacids?) that is never followed up with intensive therapeutic probiotics. For many of us, the gastrointestinal flora is severely weakened by the use of antibiotics in childhood, which is only resolved when the “straw that broke the camel’s back” plunges us into crisis.

First, I want to mention that the protocol for H. Pylori is the same for ALL intestinal infections (C. difficile, MAP, etc.). Below is a simple, point-by-point version of the treatment steps. Detailed dosage instructions can be found in my book Jini’s Healing Guide: Natural Treatments for Gut Infection – available as an e-book or softcover version ($10) – also available on Amazon Kindle.

    Eliminate intestinal pathogens

There are two ways to eliminate infectious microorganisms: antimicrobial drugs or substances or high doses of probiotics. Jini’s Wild Oregano Oil protocol is unique in that it combines the two methods using 100% natural substances to achieve maximum effectiveness on:

    1. Destruction of infectious microorganisms
    2. Implantation of beneficial bacterial flora during antimicrobial treatment
    3. Continuously maintaining a healthy gut environment for continued long-term health

This 3-phase protocol aims to eliminate infectious microorganisms (such as mycobacteria, fungi, bacteria, yeasts, viruses, parasites, etc.), ensure moderate detoxification and restore healthy intestinal flora. By healing the infection, we also heal inflammation. Other supplements mentioned in my book Listen To Your Gut (such as MucosaCalm, George’s Aloe Vera Juice, L-Glutamine, etc.) are then used to heal ulcers and bleeding and to repair the intestinal wall and mucous membrane.

The wild oregano brands recommended in the LTYG Shoppe are already pre-diluted with a carrier oil. This means that when used in my protocols you will not need any further dilution. If your chosen wild oregano oil (WOO) is a pure essential oil, you will need to dilute it before using it internally or externally as it is very strong and can cause tissue damage.

Phase 1: Until the infection is gone

    • COURT: Take wild oregano 3-5 times daily on an empty stomach (if you cannot tolerate wild oregano, you will find effective alternatives in my book)
    • Probiotics: Natren brands Megadophilus, Bifido Factor and Digesta-lac were taken Powder form only at bedtime (on an empty stomach) until the infection has cleared. Mix in 6-8 ounces of water.

    Phase 2: Three months

    • Jini’s probiotic retention enema: Perform the exercises before bedtime on the first day of this phase, and then begin the remaining procedures for this phase on the third day
    • COURT: Take wild oregano once in the morning on an empty stomach for 3 months
    • Probiotics: Natren brands Megadophilus, Bifido Factor and Digesta-lac once in the afternoon and once before bed (on an empty stomach) for 3 months

    Phase 3: Three months

    • Probiotics: Natren brand Megadophilus, Bifido Factor and Digesta-lac 3x daily on an empty stomach for 3 months. Also, perform Jini’s probiotic retention enema once a month for 3 months (this step is highly recommended).

In very stubborn cases, I would recommend reading this blog post about natural parasite solutions: Quad Synergy Pathogen-Parasite Protocol.

*Natren probiotics are currently the only brand I recommend that meets my selection criteria and is critical to eliminating pathogens. When I first developed and tested Jini’s Wild Oregano Oil protocol with a few hundred of my readers, we found that just killing the culprits was too harsh on the gut. Furthermore, it left an invitation (nature abhors a vacuum!) to secondary or opportunistic infections. This is likely why CH felt so bad when she did the triple antibiotic regimen – but didn’t also take a therapeutic-grade probiotic to balance the gut.

Tens of thousands of people use this protocol for everything from C. difficile infections to the very persistent Mycobacterium avium paratuberculosis (MAP), which has a dormant/active life cycle, often requiring people to turn the protocol on and off over a two-year period. Still questions? Just leave them down…
