Unfortunately, I cannot predict the results of your proposed substitutions. I wish I had a crystal ball and knew intuitively whether a substitution would work. Unfortunately not. I test each of my recipes dozen of times to get the results that I am getting.

Substitutions and tests

In fact, every time I make the slightest change, I retest a recipe. That means a whole new amount of bread in the oven if I turn the baking powder up or down a quarter of a teaspoon.

I think that’s why they say baking is a science, not something you can improvise. That’s why I’m getting feedback that my simple low-carb recipes are the most reliable you can find!
