Hello friends! Happy Friday! How are you doing? What are you up to this weekend? I hope all my friends stay safe and cozy in the path of the winter storm. This weekend we have an NCL event at the food bank, a date night (!) and a barre class. I’m also struggling with these little puppies as I work through some IHP modules.
Last week I had a great little trip to San Diego for our mastermind. We host events several times a year and I always look forward to the opportunity to share ideas and learn from Jill. I was particularly excited about this one because it was an excuse to see and connect with my best friend Betsy.

My flight intentionally landed very early on Wednesday so I could have some time to relax before the events. It was pure chaos here with little Lola – she’s SO cute, but man, puppies sure are a lot of work lol – so I went straight to Betsy. I was able to see her before she left for work and I was able to use her house as a hub before we checked into the hotel.
I grabbed a coffee at Better Buzz and took it to Mission for an hour-long blissful walk by the sea. Lunch was takeout from Tender Greens, which I took to Betsy’s to enjoy before some one-on-one client meetings.
When Betsy came home we attended a Lagree course (the best!!):

(This tank top comes in at least 6 colors. It’s comfortable, long and doesn’t ride up, with built-in bra)
and then went to dinner at Ponyboy’s. Its upscale 50’s comfort fun with the ability to add caviar to many of their offerings. 😉 We’ll definitely be back! The drinks and food were SO good and meeting Betsy over food and cocktails was everything I needed.

I met my business friend Giselle at the hotel and the rest of the weekend was full of meetings, brainstorming,

Great meals, hikes, more Lagree (I went three days in a row for the first time ever. My legs and core were dying too) and sleeping through the night. Bless it.

It was so great to see Tina! We stay connected via text, but I haven’t seen her in person in years.
It was just the little refresher I needed and it’s always a pleasure to be back in one of my favorite places.

(I wear these jeans all the time <– currently on sale)
Now it’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party. Here I share some of my favorite finds of the week and around the internet. I’m always happy to hear about your favorites too, so please share what you like in the comments section below.

Fashion, beauty, coincidence:
A hike in Sabino Canyon with the family. The river was flowing and the weather was perfect.

When it comes to snacks, we can always rely on P:

(The kids are obsessed with candy canes and I got the last box from the “Last Chance!” section at Whole Foods. Goodbye, candy canes for another year.)
We also tried chilling; a new ice cream shop in Tucson. You choose your base, mixes and toppings and they instantly freeze them with nitrogen so the texture is super smooth.

This is almond milk ice cream with olive oil and sea salt. I wanted to try something out there and I wasn’t disappointed. We might have been there twice within 2 days 😉
Read, watch, listen:
Have you seen the final season of Emily in Paris? I’m only a few episodes in and while I think it’s a slower pace than previous seasons, it’s perfect escapism.
I downloaded it to read.
The latest Substack here about how I turned the small blog into a business.
Fitness, health and good food:
Local Friends: Penelope Pizza is Gluten Free! You just need to call and order 24 hours in advance because everything is made in house and the bread takes that long to rise. This will definitely be a regular thing here:

To be completely honest, I wasn’t the best at making myself a healthy lunch. The days are full of calls, so I treated myself to quick snacks like cereal, meat sticks or chips in the afternoon. I usually make a large batch of soup and felt drained.

My friend Giselle recommended Thistle and it was AWESOME. Meals contain no added gluten (some have oatmeal, so be careful with ingredients if you’re sensitive) and there are plant-based and meat-based options. I ordered four lunches and two snacks and they were all fresh and delicious. You can try it out and save 60% off your first week using my referral link here!
This ground chicken Thai red curry with a spicy flavor was packed with veggies and 29g of protein.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today! I wish you a great weekend and see you soon!
