Hello everybody! It’s Linsy from LTYG. Being involved in naturopathic medicine can sometimes mean taking lots of supplements. If you know – you know !! And if you’ve read Jini’s post on navigating confusing supplement plans, you know there is a lot to consider. When do you take which food supplements? Do you take on an empty stomach or with food?
Today I got you covered! In this video I made for you, I’ll show you all the tricks and tips I use to navigate my supplement routine – and make it EASIER.

4 tips to simplify your supplement plan:
#1) Put your schedule on paper! It is important that you have your goals on paper as you can remember when to achieve them. For example, you can write something like “9 o’clock supplement x, y and z for breakfast!” When I write it down, it stays in my head.
Either way, do whatever you need to remember! Make a physical copy or save your text on your phone / computer so you can refer to it when you need it.
# 2) Know your strategy. What I mean by this is that you need to know basic information about the supplements you are taking and how to adapt them to your lifestyle. Here is an example of Jini, but once you are comfortable with the dos and don’ts, you can perform them on a schedule that works best for you:
- Probiotics must be taken entirely on their own, at least 2 hours away from any antibiotic or antipathogen (such as wild oregano, potentized garlic, olive leaf, etc.). For maximum effectiveness, take your probiotics 20 minutes before you eat or 2 hours after you eat – UNLESS you are using Natren 3-in-1 Healthy Trinity.
- Healthy Trinity capsules are not powdered. They contain 3 strains that are individually encapsulated in an oil matrix formulation, making them must be taken with food to help break down the capsule and distribute the good bacteria.
- Wild oregano oil is best taken on an empty stomach and can be combined with any remedy that also requires an empty stomach (aloe vera, MucosaCalm, elm, marshmallow root, etc.). It also needs to be taken 20 minutes before a meal or 2 hours after you eat – but make sure to take it at least 2 hours away from probiotics or it can kill the good bacteria.
Note: Immune boosting herbs like astragalus are strongest on an empty stomach. They can be taken along with wild oregano, aloe vera, MucosaCalm, etc., but make sure you are not taking probiotics.
# 3) Set alarms on your phone. Setting alarms on your phone can be helpful at the beginning of your healing journey as it can be overwhelming to remember everything.
# 4) Find ways to simplify! One great thing about Absorb Plus is that some supplements can be added straight to your shakes. For example, if you supplement with Udo’s oil (which Jini recommends only for an elementary diet, since Absorb Plus is very low in fat), you can actually open the capsules and put them in the blender with your shake, which saves you time – and saves you having to swallow another pill!
