Here is another recipe for you to add more food-based probiotics to your diet. Remember that yogurt can be made from raw cow’s milk, goat’s milk, or coconut milk if you are dairy intolerant. Goat’s milk yogurt has smaller fat and protein globules than cow’s milk, and the protein is more similar to human breast milk, making it easier to digest for some people.
This dressing can be drizzled over green or mixed salad, Cobb salad, or used to make chicken salad, tuna salad – or my favorite: salmon salad (just mix flaked salmon with enough dressing to make it as creamy as you desire). It can also be used as a dip for chopped vegetables. So many delicious ways to get more healthy fats and probiotics from food!
Jini’s Ranch Dressing & Dip
Mix all ingredients well. Pour into a glass bottle with a screw cap and store in the refrigerator.
If you would like to make a runnier ranch salad dressing, add plain yogurt until desired consistency is reached.
Note: If made with Jini’s lacto-fermented mayonnaise, this dip will last about 4-6 weeks in the refrigerator (the beneficial bacteria in the mayonnaise will preserve it). When made with regular mayonnaise, it lasts for about 2 weeks.
