Many people have written to us asking how they would know if my healing implant enema was working and when they should see results. Well, here are some tips for you.
If the blood has turned into clots, you are definitely seeing progress! If more blood comes out after the enema, it may be because you are unable to hold the enema long enough for the fluid to be absorbed. In this case it just comes out as a liquid and the blood is “washed out” with the liquid.
Help! I can’t keep the healing enema
In this case, if you have problems with water absorption during the enema, you can try four things:
- Drink 1-2 tsp. Take one serving of L-Glutamine powder (dissolve in 4 ounces of water) 30-60 minutes before administering the enema AND on an empty stomach. This can be helpful in reabsorbing water from the colon.
- Reduce the amount of liquid you use for the enema. Keep the same herbs, but reduce the liquid to 1/2 cup, 3/4 cup, or 1 cup—see what your colon can tolerate.
- Do the enema before you go to sleep at night – can you sleep for 6-8 hours without getting up to urinate? If yes, then try it. Even 4 hours would give better results – and perhaps combined with #1 or #2 above.
- Finally, try to spend most of the day lying horizontally or resting.
TIP: Another great tip from a reader: Use George’s Aloe Vera Juice instead of water for the implant enema!
Jinis Healing Implant Enema is an implant or retention enema. So the goal is to hold the mixture until all the liquid is absorbed. The set contains the fantastic wound healer comfrey and is therefore ideal for quickly stopping bleeding from the colon. I’ve even used it to stop heavy bleeding – nothing heals wounds faster than comfrey!
Of course, before you proceed, ask your doctor or herbalist about the safety of all these herbs.
NOTE: This implant enema is most effective if you follow an elemental or all-liquid diet. It may still work if you eat regular food, but it will likely take longer to stop the bleeding – and then the sores may reopen when your next solid food passes through your colon.
For mild to moderate colon bleeding, 1 to 3 applications should be enough (if you are also following the IBD remission diet), but the kit contains enough herbs for 20-25 applications (as it is the smallest size the manufacturer offers).
I tried all your tips and still can’t keep the mixture
If you have tried everything I described above and you still cannot maintain the enema with the healing implant, I recommend that you do a topical skin test to rule out any allergies.
Take a pinch of powder and mix it with just enough water to form a thick paste. Spread this on a sensitive area of your skin (inner arm, inner thigh, sole of foot, neck or chest) and wait half an hour to see if there is a reaction. As the fetus develops, the mucosal tissue is made up of the same cells that make up the skin, so this is a good test.
If your skin shows no signs of allergy or irritation, you can try the implant enema again, but you need to start very low and slow.
You can use a procedure similar to my treatment protocols for internal hemorrhoids and rectal strictures. I have never heard of a single reader who was unable to retain even a drop of the formula. So you may need to start here and then gradually increase as your body heals and your tolerance grows.
1. Use only 1/8 teaspoon of each powder and mix with 1 tablespoon of warm water to make your solution.
2. Use a glass dropper and pre-fill it with the mixture.
3. Assume one of these positions and take a deep breath to relax, insert the pipette and drain the mixture into your rectum. Stay in the position for as long as possible, ideally 5 minutes.

4. If your body can tolerate the dropper, take it daily or every other day, increasing the amount each time until you are able to use a baby enema bulb (available at your local pharmacy) – and maintain this amount of fluid. Once you can hold the contents of one baby enema bulb, add up to 1/2 cup of water, then gradually increase to 1 cup and so on. Whatever you can keep, it’s all good!
My body rejects the healing mixture!
If you have followed the “Low and Slow” instructions in the previous section and ruled out allergies and you still cannot hold down even a drop (0.5ml) of the formula, then this is a clear sign that you need to move to the emotional/spiritual level of healing.
Our rectum is physically capable of retaining 20 drops of fluid, especially in the recommended position that interacts with gravity. If your body still rejects the herbs, then this is probably a rejection (a “Hell no!”) that is happening on an emotional/spiritual level.
To heal and release the rejection/limitation at this level, you must use therapy that integrates mind/body/spirit. Talk therapy will be pretty useless. I recommend EFT or Lazer Tapping (my own program that you can do yourself – try a free session with me), Hypnotherapy, Somatic Experiencing and Craniosacral at Level 2 or higher.
What part of you refuses to heal? Is there an aspect of you that fears healing? Is there an old trauma buried in the tissue that needs to be released? And so forth.
Take your healing to the next level with any of these therapies you are drawn to and prepare to be amazed!
The herbs included in this retention enema set are:
Comfrey root powder: Anodyne (pain relieving agent), astringent, soothing (soothes inflamed mucous membranes), emollient, hemostatic (used to stop severe bleeding). Rapid healing of bones and flesh due to its property of accelerating mitosis (cell division). Symphytum officinale, from controlled organic cultivation.
Marshmallow root powder: Osmotic diuretic (increases plasma osmolality), soothing (relieves inflamed mucous membranes), certified organic.
Slippery Elm Bark Powder: Antispasmodic, antispasmodic, anodynic (pain relieving), from controlled organic cultivation.
You can buy the complete kit here.
I hope this helps anyone else who may have the same question. Have fun healing – and remember to always listen to your gut. 😉
